Terms of Service

Last updated: June 11, 2026 (version 2026-06-11)

1. The platform

Fantasy Gold is a non-custodial competition platform that lets Fantasy Premier League ("FPL") managers stake the FGLD token on the Solana network and compete for the highest gameweek score within a league. By creating an account or signing a transaction with our smart contract, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You can lawfully participate in skill-based fantasy contests and hold cryptocurrency in your jurisdiction. Where local law requires it, we may restrict access.
  • You are not a resident of, or accessing the service from, a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions or that explicitly prohibits these contests.
  • You hold one account per person, with one linked FPL id.

3. How a league works

  • The league creator chooses the entry fee (denominated in FGLD) and the contest format. Some leagues settle for a single gameweek; others settle once at league end using cumulative scoring.
  • Each participant stakes the entry fee into the league's on-chain account when joining.
  • At the end of each gameweek, our settlement process reads official scores from the FPL API and submits the resulting scores to the Solana program. The program then pays the pot to the highest-scoring manager(s), and a small platform fee is collected.
  • If every participant's score resolves to zero, or if reliable score data is unavailable, we may delay settlement, retry scoring, manually review the league, or cancel the league rather than declare a winner.
  • Settlement is not fully trustless. The on-chain program does not independently verify FPL scores; it relies on the platform operator or its authorized automation to submit gameweek scores derived from public FPL data. We may publish score hashes, settlement records, or supporting data so participants can compare settlements against FPL results.
  • Settlement is timed to run approximately 3 hours after the final fixture of the gameweek has finished, so we have stable final scores.
  • Ties default to a split pot. The creator may instead select bench-points or fewest-transfers as a tiebreaker; any remaining tie still splits.
  • By default, late entries (joining after the first fixture has kicked off) are blocked to keep the contest fair. The creator can explicitly opt to allow them.

4. Fair play and prohibited conduct

  • One account, one FPL manager id, one person.
  • No collusion, multi-accounting, or using another manager's FPL id.
  • No automated abuse of our APIs or smart contract.
  • No attempt to exploit settlement timing, force a re-org, or manipulate FPL data feeds.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules and may withhold disputed payouts pending investigation.

5. Custody, fees, and refunds

  • We are non-custodial: your FGLD lives in your wallet or in the Solana program account for the league you joined. We never hold your private keys.
  • Platform fees are deducted automatically from each settlement; the percentage is shown at league creation and on the league detail page.
  • Unless a league page states otherwise, a paid on-chain entry is split into prize pool, creator reward, and protocol fee. The current default split is 88% prize pool, 3% creator reward, and 9% protocol fee. The protocol fee is capped by the program at 10%, and fee settings may change for future joins.
  • League creators may receive creator rewards from entries. A creator can withdraw accrued rewards, and the platform may push those rewards to the creator's recorded token account for cleanup or operational reasons.
  • Winners may need to claim winnings from the program after settlement. If winnings remain unclaimed after an announced claim window, currently 10 days after the claim deadline is armed, those unclaimed winnings may be swept to the platform treasury where permitted by law.
  • Fiat deposits and withdrawals route through third-party providers (M-Pesa, NOWPayments, Kotani Pay). Their fees, FX rates, and refund policies apply.
  • Entry stakes are non-refundable once a gameweek begins, except where required by law or where we cancel a league. If a paid on-chain league is cancelled, refunds may return only the prize-pool portion of the entry; creator rewards, protocol fees, network fees, and third-party fees may not be refundable.
  • Account rent and reclaimed Solana lamports from program cleanup belong to the platform or configured cleanup payer, not to league entrants, because those accounts are funded by the platform payer.

6. Risks

You should not stake more than you can afford to lose. Specific risks include:

  • Skill-based contest risk: you can lose your stake to a higher-scoring manager.
  • Smart-contract risk: the on-chain program is open to inspection but has not undergone a formal third-party security audit. Bugs or unintended behaviour cannot be ruled out.
  • Token risk: the value of FGLD relative to fiat or other tokens can move sharply.
  • External dependency risk: we rely on the FPL API and the Solana network. Outages can delay scoring or settlement.
  • Operator and automation risk: settlement requires authorized platform systems to submit FPL-derived scores. A mistake, compromise, outage, or lost authority key can delay or prevent settlement, and may require manual review or remedial action.
  • Program-state risk: some leagues may not be immediately settleable, cancellable, refundable, claimable, or cleanable through the on-chain program if required accounts, authority actions, score data, or network conditions are unavailable. You should treat entry stakes as at risk once committed.
  • Settlement-record risk: an in-app settlement record may be created before on-chain claimability or sponsored prize distribution is complete. Failed or pending transfers may need to be retried.
  • Sponsored league risk: free or sponsored leagues may be paid from a platform-administered wallet rather than from a participant-funded on-chain vault. Sponsored payouts depend on that wallet being configured and funded.
  • Emergency pause risk: we may pause league creation, joining, settlement, fee movement, or cleanup during incidents. Winner withdrawals and cancellation refunds are intended to remain available where the program supports them, but network or account issues can still delay access.
  • Wallet risk: if you lose your seed phrase or are phished, we cannot recover your funds.
  • Regulatory risk: rules change. We may need to restrict features or geographies on short notice.

7. Intellectual property

Fantasy Premier League, the Premier League, club names and badges are the property of their respective owners; we use them only to identify your existing FPL team. The Fantasy Gold name, logo, and product copy are our property. The Anchor program bytecode is publicly visible on the Solana blockchain at the program address shown in the app; the source itself is available to participants on request.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we are not liable for losses arising from blockchain reorgs, FPL API errors, wallet compromise, or actions of third-party processors.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing support@fantasygold.io. We will close active league memberships at the end of the current gameweek and refund any unstaked balance to a wallet you control. We may suspend or close your account for breaches of these terms or where required by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the version above changes when we do. Material changes will be notified to active users. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
